TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of the public procurement is the execution of an urgent reconstruction of a suspension bridge for pedestrians and cyclists across the river Sora in the settlement of Senica in the Municipality of Medvode, which was severely damaged in the floods of August 2023. The reconstruction includes the removal of the damaged parts of the existing structure, remediation and upgrading of reinforced concrete pylons and anchor blocks, installation of new supporting steel cables, and assembly of a new steel walkway structure with a wooden deck and a metal railing. Within the scope of the works, the lifting of the right-hand part of the bridge by approximately 1.3 m will also be carried out with the aim of ensuring greater flood safety, the arrangement of access ramps, bank protection with shotcrete (skalomet), and the performance of all associated construction, reinforced concrete, steelwork, installation and finishing works. The reconstructed bridge will have a span of approximately 65 m, a clear width of the walkway surface of 2.6 m, and will be intended to ensure a safe connection between the settlements of Senica and Goričane for pedestrians and cyclists.
