TENDER DESCRIPTION

The administrative centre of the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg, Regensburger Straße 104-106, was built in 1972 in a hexagonal honeycomb structure with three building wings arranged radially. Component VII, a part of the building that until a few years ago was used as a data centre, will be completely converted into a modern, open-plan office environment (open-space concept, “FutureLab”). As part of the conversion, the existing building geometry will be adapted to the new use, including, among other things, by installing an additional gallery level in areas with large clear headroom. In addition, the building will be equipped with human climate control. The measure will be carried out in construction phases: preparatory deconstruction work (2026) and subsequent main construction work (January 2027 to December 2028). The construction work will take place while services continue in operation in the adjacent building parts that are not affected by the conversion.
