TENDER DESCRIPTION

The administrative centre of the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg, Regensburger Straße 104-106, was built in 1972 using a hexagonal honeycomb structure with three building wings arranged radially. Component VII, a part of the building that until a few years ago was used as a data centre, is being completely converted into a modern, open-plan office environment (open-space concept, “FutureLab”). As part of the conversion, the existing building geometry will be adapted to the new use, including by installing an additional gallery level in areas with large clear heights. In addition, the building will be equipped with human climate control. The measure will be carried out in two construction phases: preparatory deconstruction works (2026) and subsequent main construction works (January 2027 to December 2028). The construction works will take place while the relevant ongoing service operations of the adjacent building parts not affected by the conversion are in progress; the impact on the ongoing operations must be kept to a minimum.
