TENDER DESCRIPTION

The administrative center of the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg, Regensburger Straße 104-106, was built in 1972 in a hexagonal honeycomb structure with three building wings arranged radially. Component VII, a part of the building that was used as a data center until a few years ago, is being completely converted into a modern, open-plan office landscape (Open-Space concept, “FutureLab”). As part of the conversion, the existing building geometry will be adapted to the new use, including by introducing an additional gallery level in areas with large clear headroom. In addition, the building will be equipped with human climate control (humanklimatisierung). The measure will be carried out in two construction phases: preparatory deconstruction work (2026) and subsequent main construction works (January 2027 to December 2028). The construction works will be carried out while the operating service of the adjacent building parts not affected by the conversion is ongoing; disruption to ongoing operations is to be limited to the minimum.
