The administrative centre of the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg at Regensburger Straße 104-106 was built in 1972 in a hexagonal honeycomb structure with three building wings arranged radially. Component VII, a building part that until a few years ago was used as a data centre, is being converted completely into a modern, open-plan office landscape (Open-Space concept, “FutureLab”). As part of the conversion, the existing building geometry will be adapted to the new use, among other things by adding an additional gallery level in areas with large clear heights.
