Site planning for external areas § 39 HOAI Rhabanus-Maurus-Gymnasium St. Ottilien The school foundation of the Diocese of Augsburg, a public-law foundation, awards site planning for external areas (service profile § 39 HOAI) for the general renovation and partial replacement new build of the Rhabanus-Maurus-Gymnasium in St. Ottilien in stages starting from service phase (LPh) 1. The Rhabanus-Maurus-Gymnasium, with currently more than 680 students and 60 teachers, is housed today in a school building dating from the 1960s, which was expanded in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. The current school building is not barrier-free and has significant functional deficiencies as well as structural/building-physics deficiencies. In the so-called Tagesheim (former monastery of St. Katharina), rooms for full-day care for students are currently located. The former monastery of St. Katharina has meanwhile been placed under monument protection as an individual listed building. Following extensive variant studies, it is now planned to carry out a comprehensive renovation of the former monastery of St. Katharina and to use it for school purposes in the future.
