    TENDER DESCRIPTION

    At the site of the Wilhelm-von-Oranien-Schule (WvO) in Dillenburg, the 4-court sports hall (Nassau-Oranien-Halle) was built in the 1980s on Mühlenstraße, at the corner of Hof-Feldbach-Straße. Due to its intensive use as a sports hall—for example for the more than 1,200 students of the WvO, as well as for other school and extracurricular uses (e.g., by surrounding clubs or by disaster protection)—it has a fundamental and energy-related need for refurbishment. The refurbishment of the sports hall is intended to ensure child-appropriate physical education at the Dillenburg school location. In addition, the use of the hall outside school hours should be enabled for many clubs to continue ensuring the sports-related benefit. The variety of clubs differentiated by sport and age is an important social component for the city and beyond. Furthermore, the refurbishment is intended to achieve higher energy efficiency, and, where possible, additionally to install photovoltaic systems for sustainable building operation.
