Reconstruction of a foot-and-cycle footbridge in Głuchołazy under the “design and build” system The subject of the contract is the comprehensive execution of an investment project entitled “Reconstruction of a foot-and-cycle footbridge in Głuchołazy, the so-called ‘Hanging Bridge’, based on the Functional and Utility Programme entitled ‘Reconstruction of a bridge structure of the “Hanging Bridge” on ul. Andersa and al. Jana Pawła II in Głuchołazy — crossing the Biała Głuchołaska river, plot no. 1612/1, 1620/4, 1620/3, 1621, 1748/2, 1750/1, 1748/1, 1750/2 in Głuchołazy’ — under the ‘design and build’ system, consisting in the preparation of design documentation and the execution of construction works. The main objective of the investment is to restore the full operational capability of the footbridge damaged as a result of the flood in September 2024, while ensuring proper technical parameters and safety for users’ traffic on the “Hanging Bridge”. The footbridge is to again fulfil the function of pedestrian and cycling communication and to constitute an element of adaptation to climate change by applying intelligent protection systems against the effects of flooding.
