As a rule, the odorizing systems are housed in separate rooms (Ex-Zone 1) in the gas pressure regulation station building. In a few cases, no room is available, so that an external cabinet must be mounted to the existing building. Due to the plant and network structure at EWE NETZ, many small, decentralized distributed odorizing systems are used. All systems have stationary containers as well as dosing quantity monitoring. At EWE NETZ, the dosing of the odorant is fundamentally gas volume dependent. In every gas pressure regulation station equipped with an odorizing system, volume gas meters are installed. The impulses per Nm³ are transmitted to the remote control system and then to the odorizing system control. The dosing quantity depends on the impulse-based pump stroke frequency and the pump stroke volume.
