TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) investigates, pursuant to §§ 9 et seq. of WindSeeG, the areas designated in the area development plan for tendering by the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) and for development with offshore wind turbines. In doing so, the marine environment, subsoil conditions, wind and oceanographic conditions, as well as the transport-related suitability of the area are examined and reports are prepared on this. The BSH assesses the suitability of the area, among other things on the basis of the information from these investigations. If the BSH concludes that the area is suitable, it determines the suitability by means of a statutory instrument (legal ordinance) and the investigation results are transmitted to the BNetzA for the tendering procedure. In addition, the results are made available via the data portal for the area pre-investigation.
