Onboardunit C-ITS

The contract timeline is as follows:

Total Duration: The contract period extends from the contract start date to four years after the technology is called up. There is an option to extend the contract by an additional four or eight years (each year at a time).

Key Milestones/Phases:

• Start of service: Immediately after the contract award.
• Installation within the vehicle expansion: Within 6 weeks after the call-off.
• Final acceptance: Within 8 weeks after the call-off.
• Live operation: The day after the system acceptance.

Maintenance Services Duration: The maintenance services are to be provided for a duration of 48 months. The start of these services is either the day after delivery or at the specific time(s) agreed upon in an attachment.

The core scope of work for this tender, titled "Procurement of Vehicle ITS Stations (V-ITS-S) for equipping police vehicles and their operation, support, and maintenance," encompasses several key areas.

The statement of work summary and core deliverables include:

1. Provision of V-ITS-S:

• Inventory of vehicle interfaces.
• Alignment of specifications, data modeling, and detailed specifications.
• Hardware and software development activities, including implementing a remote access interface for software updates and a 7-day ring buffer logging function for essential operations.
• The V-ITS-S must be capable of sending DENM and CAM messages in accordance with ETSI specifications via WLAN 802.11p (ETSI G5), and optionally, sending and receiving SREM/SSRM for the TSP service.
• Delivery, installation (assembly), and commissioning of the V-ITS-S units.
• Integration of PKI functionalities.
• Connection to the ICS core test or Cooperative Central.

2. Operation, Support, and Maintenance of V-ITS-S:

• Optional assembly, disassembly, and reassembly of V-ITS-S units.
• Provision of training materials and instruction for the police.
• SIM card management.
• Optional implementation of changes and releases.
• Operational monitoring.
• Optional implementation of troubleshooting and workaround solutions.
• Optional security enhancements for V-ITS-S to CC/CPOC Level.

3. Meetings and Documentation:

• Participation in web conferences and on-site appointments.
• Creation of system and assembly manuals, as well as quick guides.
• Development and maintenance of a configuration table.
• Preparation of test documentation and a final report.

4. Further Services (Optional):

• General support and consulting services, which may include detailing and updating technical and functional specifications, evaluating technical issues, supporting specification creation and harmonization, assisting with V-ITS-S connection to the Autobahn GmbH Cooperative Control Center, public relations support in the C-ITS context, support for the Hessian police, assistance with infrastructure component interfaces and their suppliers, and help with compiling documents for the VERKKO project and the final event.
