TENDER DESCRIPTION

The fusion splicer must support welding of both standard single-mode fibres (SMF) and mulitmod-fibres (MMF), multi-core fibres (MCF), photonicsih-crystal fibres (PCF) as well as highly doped fibres and fibres for maintaining polarisation (PMF), and fibres with diameters from 125 to 500 m. The fusion splicer must be equipped with robust clamps and motors that allow high-resolution positioning of the fibres. The fusion splicer must be equipped with an optical system (the optical system must be integrated into the fusion splicer) that enables planar alignment support based on an image of the fibre end faces (End-View) and with a conventional side inspection (Side-View). The device must be compact and portable, with an LCD touch display and the option of battery power supply. The power supply must be compatible with the electrical standard 230 V / 50 Hz..
