TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of the procurement is primarily orthognathic surgical planning as a service, as well as guides and plates as goods for the Northern Savo Wellbeing Service County (PSHVA) in accordance with the tender documents. As part of the patient’s orthognathic treatment, a jaw transfer surgery is performed either on the upper jaw (LeFort 1) or the lower jaw (BSSO) or both (Bimax). The osteotomies included in these surgeries are performed in a guided manner, particularly with respect to the upper jaw and sometimes also the lower jaw, in order to achieve an optimal surgical outcome. Individual osteosynthesis plates are also used in connection with the guided osteotomy. Planning for the jaw transfer surgery takes place in collaboration between an orthodontist/“occlusion specialist dentist”, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, and the planning designer of the service provider. Planning is carried out entirely digitally on the basis of the patient’s scanned bite and imaging from CBCT (cone-beam computed tomography) or CT.
