TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject of the procurement is primarily orthognathic surgery planning as a service, as well as guides and plates as goods for the Northern Savo Welfare Area (PSHVA) in accordance with the tender documents. As part of the patient’s orthognathic treatment, a jaw repositioning surgery is performed either on the upper jaw (LeFort 1) or on the lower jaw (BSSO) or on both (Bimax). The osteotomies included in these surgeries are performed in a guided manner, in particular with regard to the upper jaw and sometimes also the lower jaw, to achieve an optimal surgical result. Individual osteosynthesis plates are also used in connection with the guided osteotomy. The planning of the jaw repositioning surgery is carried out in cooperation between the orthodontist/dentist (oikojahammaslääkäri), the oral and maxillofacial surgeon (suu- ja leukakirurgi), and the planning designer of the service provider. The planning is carried out entirely digitally based on the bite scanned from the patient and KKTT or CT imaging.
