TENDER DESCRIPTION

The subject matter of the procurement primarily consists of orthognathic surgery planning as a service, as well as guides and plates as goods for the Northern Savo Wellbeing Service County (PSHVA) in accordance with the tender documents. As part of the patient’s orthognathic treatment, the jaw transfer surgery is performed either on the upper jaw (LeFort 1) or the lower jaw (BSSO) or on both (Bimax). The osteotomies included in these surgeries are performed in a guided manner, particularly with respect to the upper jaw and sometimes also the lower jaw, in order to achieve an optimal surgical outcome. Individual osteosynthesis plates are also used in connection with the guided osteotomy. Planning for the jaw transfer surgery is carried out in collaboration between the orthodontist, the maxillofacial surgeon and the planner of the service provider. Planning is carried out fully digitally based on the occlusion scanned from the patient and KKTT (cone-beam CT) or CT imaging.
