TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Kainuu Welfare Area requests tenders for orthopaedic specialist medical services for the Kainuu Welfare Area. The service is procured as an outpatient clinic service for the surgery outpatient clinic, as emergency services in the form of a free-form duty/rounds on weekend and weekday duties, and as an operating theatre service and, when necessary, inpatient ward work at the surgical ward. The outpatient clinic service includes clinic days (approximately 15 patients/day). Depending on the client’s needs, daytime work may include work at the surgical ward, telephone consultations, and outpatient work at the outpatient clinic, or surgical procedures at the operating theatre. If the work schedule includes only outpatient clinic work, the number of patients is approximately 15 patients at most. Weekday duty/rounds (Monday–Thursday) begins at 15:30 and ends at 08:00 the following day. The emergency service’s free-form duty/rounds as weekend duty/rounds, in which the work starts on Friday at 15:00 and ends on Monday at 08:00 (amount of activity approximately 30–50%).
