TENDER DESCRIPTION

BACKGROUND Real Estate Company Paloheinän Palvelukeskus (hereinafter referred to as the “Contracting Entity”) manages and maintains the property at Paloheinäntie 22, 00670 Helsinki, where the Paloheinä service centre operates, including, among other things, the Paloheinä health centre, maternity clinic, dental clinic and the Paloheinä library. The property has been found to have urgent repair needs, for which a feasibility study for a renovation is under way. The project planning phase for the renovation is currently being initiated. The property’s urgent repair needs relate, among other things, to • HVAC systems; • roof gutters and downspouts; • surface coatings of building façade elements, joints/seams, and concrete defects caused by corrosion of concrete reinforcing steel; • wall structures of HVAC equipment rooms; • windows and doors; • suspended ceilings in interior spaces; and • general lighting indoors and outdoors. A comprehensive hazardous materials survey will be carried out for the property. The real estate company must put the premises in order to ensure safe working conditions for the personnel.
