TENDER DESCRIPTION

The client (Magistrate of the City of Rüsselsheim am Main, Department of Building Management) intends to convert Park School from a former secondary school with a grammar/upper-secondary track (Hauptschule and Realschule) into an inclusive, all-day operating, 3.5-form entry primary school. The overall ensemble is divided, in the existing situation, into several buildings: - The main building that is protected as a listed monument, dating from 1916 - The sports hall block that is protected as a listed monument, dating from 1916 - The intermediate building, dating from 1916 (demolition) - The canteen building, dating from 2007 - The extension building, dating from 1963 (demolition) Both the main building and the sports hall block, as well as the canteen building, are to be retained and refurbished and/or adapted structurally to the new requirements for use. In this shell and structure works invitation to tender, the five-storey main building is to be refurbished.
