TENDER DESCRIPTION

This tender is for the main works on the Peebles Chambers Institution, a Category A-Listed building, encompassing its refurbishment and adaptation to create an integrated museum, library, and art gallery, alongside a new accessible arrival space. The scope includes enhancing accessibility with a new lift, reconfiguring internal layouts, upgrading visitor facilities, improving the main entrance and street frontage, renewing building services, and implementing fire safety enhancements, all while preserving the historic character. An enabling works package, including asbestos removal, will precede the primary construction.
