Perinatal Mental Health Community Peer Support service

TENDER DESCRIPTION

The London Borough of Camden is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced provider to deliver its Perinatal Mental Health Community Peer Support Service. The service will provide practical and emotional peer support to Camden residents from pregnancy until their child’s second birthday who are experiencing, or are at risk of developing, mild to moderate perinatal mental health difficulties, including anxiety and depression. Support will be delivered through trained peer supporters with relevant lived experience, with the service aiming to improve parent and infant wellbeing, reduce social isolation and strengthen parents’ confidence and resilience. The new service will be expected to: - provide accessible, high-quality and person-centred peer support from pregnancy through to the child’s second birthday; - engage and support fathers as well as mothers; - recruit, train and provide appropriate ongoing support to peer supporters with lived experience; - strengthen engagement with Black, Asian and other communities currently underrepresented in services; - provide culturally appropriate and bilingual support where required; - work collaboratively with health, community and other…
