The contracting authority is a modern service company that operates electricity, gas, water, and fiber optic networks in Bocholt. Furthermore, the contracting authority is responsible for the local heating supply within the city area. The contracting authority faces new challenges in the urban context. Due to the extensive expansion of electrical installations, the contracting authority plans to have a new substation with large transformers built, which is connected to a 110 kV cable route crossing the Bocholt urban area. The contractor is to construct the substation on a plot of land owned by the contracting authority.
