TENDER DESCRIPTION

Federal Ministry for Housing, Urban Development and Building (BMWSB) funding as well as own funds from the state capital Potsdam (LHP) are available for the planning and construction implementation, which must be carried out and accounted for to the grant provider by the end of 2028. The objective of the BBSR funding (Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development) is the development of exemplary open space typologies for climate adaptation at 5 locations (subareas) within the city area of LHP, which are intended to serve as examples for the upgrading and climate-adapted design of comparable green spaces in the various social areas of Potsdam. Unused potentials are to be demonstrated through measures for CO2 binding, reduction of heat stress, and improvement of water retention, showing how climate adaptation, usage quality, and quantity can be sustainably increased and linked.
