TENDER DESCRIPTION

The contracting authority is Zweckverband Breitbandversorgung im Landkreis Ravensburg. A total of 39 towns and municipalities form Zweckverband Breitbandversorgung im Landkreis Ravensburg. The task of the Zweckverband is to ensure an expansion with fiber optics in the association area for underserved households and commercial enterprises. Currently, within the context of a Europe-wide tender for the operators for network operation of the gigabit networks in accordance with Section A.3, the operators are being determined. With the award of the contract, it is planned for the 2nd half of 2026. The contracting authority plans to build a gigabit network (FTTB) in the cadastral area of Wangen. The aim is to connect those connections in the expansion area that are eligible for funding under the Gigabit Directive 2.0 (gray spots). The contracting authority has prepared a comprehensive FTTB network planning and an expansion concept. This planning status is to be transferred into an approval planning.
