TENDER DESCRIPTION

The City of Erkrath intends to award the planning and execution services for the erection of a turnkey extension building at the Rainbow School (primary school), Kempen site, to a total contractor (TU). In view of the legal entitlement starting in summer 2026 as well as an increasing demand for all-day childcare places at the Rainbow School in Erkrath-Hochdahl, Kempen site, the City of Erkrath plans to construct an extension building south of the existing main building. On the construction site, a dilapidated modular building from the 1970s was demolished in advance. Based on school development and needs planning, the City of Erkrath prepared a preliminary design that organizes the existing building and the extension building as a functional unit. The detached extension building is to be connected only on one level with the existing building via a closed footbridge.
