IHK Akademie Schwaben Arbeit und Bildung GmbH is one of the large providers of further education for vocational education in Swabia. Our task is to equip people in the region for new technological, commercial or social requirements in the labour market. To this end, we offer timely, practice-oriented, locally accessible and comprehensive training opportunities throughout Bayerisch-Schwaben. Our educational offerings help to expand and adapt the professional qualifications of skilled workers in the region. The IHK Akademie operates the educational center Campus Neu-Ulm in a former officers’ casino built in 1937. In 2000, the existing building was expanded to the east with an extension - consisting of an intermediate building and a new building. Due to an upcoming roof refurbishment, a cost-effectiveness assessment was carried out with regard to refurbishing the entire building. The decision was made in favour of a comprehensive refurbishment on the basis of a refurbishment concept.
