TENDER DESCRIPTION
Rhein-Ruhr Transport Authority (VRR) is one of the busiest public transport authorities in Europe. Transport services in the VRR are provided by around 33 franchised and mostly municipal transport companies. These operate about 10,000 stops with more than 20,000 platform edges. Around two thirds of all bus stops in the VRR have not yet been upgraded to be barrier-free. To accelerate the expansion of barrier-free infrastructure, the VRR and the participating municipal road authorities intend to award surveying and planning services in accordance with HOAI service phases 1 to 9 for a total of 558 bus stop platforms in the association area. The project area includes the following municipalities and districts: Bottrop, Dortmund, Duisburg, Düsseldorf, Emmerich am Rhein, Essen, Gelsenkirchen, Gevelsberg, Gladbeck, Grefrath, Hagen, Haltern am See, Hattingen, Jüchen, Kerken, Meerbusch, Remscheid, Schermbeck, Solingen, Sprockhövel, Viersen, Waltrop, Wetter (Ruhr), Willich, Wülfrath, Wuppertal as well as the Ennepe-Ruhr district. These municipalities and districts are provisionally divided into seven regional lots. The specific allocation can be found in the service description (Annex 02).…
