The contract enters into force on the date of signature of the last of the two Parties. It is valid for a duration of five (5) years, renewable three times for one (1) year each, at the discretion of HUG, for a total duration of 8 years.

Key milestones/phases include:

• Deployment of the solution: Planned to start from January 2027.
• First validation phase (Proof Of Concept): Expected on a restricted test perimeter according to the provisional calendar in chapter 4.4.
• Non-obsolescence guarantee: The supplier must guarantee that no "End of Sale" is announced within 3 years following the signature, and no "End of Support" is announced within 5 years following the signature, for any OEM component of the proposed solution.

The core scope of work for this tender is the acquisition, implementation, and ongoing support of an on-premise institutional Data Lakehouse platform, specifically built upon Apache Iceberg.

The high-level summary of the Statement of Work and core deliverables includes:

• Platform Deployment: The project involves deploying the Data Lakehouse solution starting in January 2027, with an initial validation phase (Proof of Concept) on a restricted test scope.
• Functional and Technical Requirements: The solution must meet detailed requirements concerning its architecture and open table formats (OTF), query engine and SQL federation, data ingestion and layering, security, compliance, and access governance, as well as self-service, exploration, and data products. It also covers Data Science, AI, and client interfaces, along with the maintenance and administration of Apache Iceberg tables. Operational security, exploitation, availability, workstation, network, and user environment aspects are also included.
• Documentation and Procedures: Key deliverables include providing a solution architecture detailing all flows (IP, port, servers, components), a document on supported SSO authentication methods, a monitoring procedure outlining indicators, thresholds, alerts, and corrective actions, a version upgrade procedure, and a component update plan.
• Implementation, Service, and Support: The tender specifies the implementation of the solution and the provision of support, including a mandatory premium support option for three years. This premium support encompasses extended coverage, unlimited tickets, a single point of contact, monthly technical reviews, and assistance for version upgrades. A daily rate for potential additional professional services is also required.
• Performance and Sizing: The solution must address expected performance for interactive queries, data volume, and usage scaling.
• Security and Localization: The proposed solution must adhere to specified security and localization criteria.
• Optional Services: Bidders are allowed to propose additional complementary services not explicitly requested if they are deemed beneficial to the client.
