TENDER DESCRIPTION
The subject of the public contract is the construction of a new tourist information centre, the reconstruction of the existing engine room, compressor room and two winding towers, as part of the revitalisation of the former hard coal mine site Gabriela in Karviná. The mine has been closed since 2000 and is protected as a listed monument. The tourist information centre building will serve the entire site and will include a bistro providing services for visitors to the site. After the construction of POHO Park Gabriela is completed, these structures will be used for civic amenities and for cultural, social and sports events. The revitalisation of the former Gabriela hard coal mine site will also include landscaping works, including the construction of an irrigation system on the vegetation roof of the new tourist information centre, the construction of a car park, and the arrangement of a new paved pedestrian area between the winding house and the existing engine room building for relaxation and outdoor activities.
