TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Cologne Transport Corporation (Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe AG) is fundamentally modernizing the Bus Depot North in the 2nd construction phase to enable the complete electrification of the fleet by 2030. The core is the adaptation of the parking concept: In the future, bus parking will take place in parking blocks with steel girders for charging hoods. The charging infrastructure will be bundled in an elevated technical bar. The traffic areas as well as surface drainage will be completely renewed. The washing hall will be fundamentally refurbished for use by electric buses and equipped with a working pit. Additionally, the workshop will be expanded by seven workstations and the operations building will be energetically renovated and extended by a two-story annex. The existing spare parts warehouse will be modernized and equipped with new fittings. The implementation of all measures will take place while maintaining bus and workshop operations.
