Provision of Website Design, Development, Hosting, Maintenance and Digital Resource Portal Services – Primary Mathematics Hub

The contract has an initial term of four years from the Commencement Date. The Client has the option to extend the agreement for an additional period of up to one year. Therefore, the total duration could be up to five years. The contract is subject to an annual performance review.

A target launch date for the Website is set for August 2027, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

The core scope of work for this tender involves the design, development, implementation, training, support, and maintenance of a dedicated, secure, and sustainable Primary Mathematics Hub. This hub will be a bilingual (Irish and English) educational website and an associated Content Management System (CMS) for Irish-medium schools in the Republic of Ireland.

Key objectives and deliverables include:

• Website Development: Establishing a secure and sustainable mathematics website and developing it into a public-facing Irish-language mathematics portal.
• Functionality: Creating a toolkit, developing save-and-share functionality for teachers, and making existing mathematics lesson plans available as downloadable PDFs.
• Content Management: Enabling client personnel to directly manage and update website content, including editing pages, managing navigation, creating/deleting filters, uploading/organizing resources, and managing featured content.
• Authoring Platform Integration: Integrating an authoring platform to allow the client to create and publish new digital mathematics activities.
• Technical Requirements: Ensuring the website's technical architecture is maintainable, secure, accessible (WCAG 2.1 AA standards, NDA requirements), responsive across devices, performs with fast loading times and efficient search, and includes industry-standard security controls.
• Training: Providing training to designated client personnel on CMS administration, content management, resource uploads, website maintenance, and user management, along with electronic training materials.
• Support & Maintenance: Providing ongoing support, incident reporting procedures, and maintenance over a four-year period.
• Project Management: Delivering a detailed project implementation plan, progress reports, and ensuring the website meets agreed specifications and passes acceptance testing, with a target launch date of August 2027.
• Deliverables: All software, documentation, source code, designs, content structures, configurations, reports, and training materials produced. Specific deliverables at the conclusion of Phase 4 include a maintained and stable Mathematics portal, updated technical documentation, a Platform Readiness Report, a future development roadmap, a final project review meeting, and a final support and maintenance report.
• Contract Term: The initial term is four years, with Year 1 focusing on design, development, testing, deployment, and training, and Years 2-4 on ongoing maintenance, support, updates, further development, and hosting.
