TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Northern Savo Wellbeing Services County (Pohjois-Savon hyvinvointialue) purchases a post-void urine volume measurement device for non-invasive measurement of the residual urine left in the bladder after urination. The objective of the procurement is to support patients’ examination and care and to reduce unnecessary catheterizations. The acquired device must be suitable for professional healthcare use and include the software, equipment, implementation/commissioning training, and documentation required for use. The device is used in particular in radiation therapy to assess the bladder filling level of patients receiving pelvic area radiation and prostate radiation, as well as in the care of urological, gastroenterological, gynecological, post-partum, and anaesthesia patients. The device must be suitable for versatile clinical use, be easy to use, provide rapid measurements, and be easily transferable between different workstations.
