TENDER DESCRIPTION

The PSW Grimsel 4 uses the existing potential between the two existing reservoirs Grimsel and Räterichsbodensee with two machine groups without additional impounded water. Due to the short distance between the two lakes and the already existing plant components, the PSW Grimsel 4 can realize an economically attractive power plant. In addition to the mentioned reservoirs, the project also uses other existing plant components, in particular the access and supply facilities of the existing power plants at Grimsel, as well as the inlet structure Grimselsee with throttle flap chamber (pre-investment Grimsel 4), which was already implemented in connection with the replacement of the Spitallamm dam. The new structures to be built generally include the continuation of the upstream water conduit system from the throttle flap chamber with flat section and pressure shaft, the cavern power plant, the downstream water conduit system with underwater tunnel and outlet structure, as well as additional access tunnels.
