TENDER DESCRIPTION

As the city transport operator, GVB is responsible for the management, maintenance and replacement of all escalators and lifts located in and around the metro stations in Amsterdam, including some tram stops. The total portfolio comprises 177 escalators and 93 lifts, which have been delivered and put into use over the past forty years. These many installations, which differ considerably from one another, were commissioned by the municipality of Amsterdam and, after delivery, were transferred to GVB for continued operation. For the detailed scope, see article 2.3 “scope” in the Selection Guidelines. The Assignment for the building contractor primarily concerns participation in the building team for the purpose of preparing for the replacement of lifts and escalators at various metro stations. In this phase, for the existing locations, through system integration with the new lift and/or escalator design, the technical installations and building-related adjustments, a new TO is compiled.
