TENDER DESCRIPTION

This contract includes the door-to-door collection, sorting and processing of the “textiles” fraction collected in the territory of Antwerp. Maximum reuse of the collected textiles is the objective. The textiles that cannot be reused will be processed in the most sustainable and economically feasible manner. “Textiles” means (this list is not exhaustive): all clothing (textiles and leather goods), footwear, handbags, bedding, home textiles (curtains, overcurtains, tablecloths, napkins...), kitchen and bathroom textiles (towels, tea towels), cuddly toys, clean rags and textiles with a minor defect. The textiles fraction includes both reusable and non-reusable textiles. Carpets, mattresses, sofa cushions, and wet or soiled textiles do not fall under this textiles fraction.
