TENDER DESCRIPTION

This large category forms a separate lot within the contract. The presence of residue must be virtually non-existent in order to make recycling of these fractions possible at recycling companies: packaging that contains no residue anymore, with the exception of traces in the form of drops (for liquids) or dried residues that are comparable to a paint film that adheres to the inner walls. The TEV (Technically Empty Containers) are containers originating from hazardous waste and are divided into three separate categories. • Code 1: empty KGA containers and removable parts of plastic • Code 2: empty KGA containers and removable parts of metal • Code 3: empty plastic paint pots on a water basis Recycling is indicated here as “optional”: the contractor is expected to carry out actual recycling of the RTE (Elements to be Removed), which constitutes a significant award criterion for this contract. However, the contractor may also submit a price proposal for the processing of this stream via energy recovery/valorisation if recycling proves not to be possible.
