TENDER DESCRIPTION

Preparation: For the treatment of frames, chassis, axles, axle parts, and attachments, these must be exposed by dismantling parts that are not to be treated. These include but are not limited to: swap bodies; wheels; wheel arch liners; steps; tank straps; coverings. During exposure, it may be necessary to pump out brine and store it temporarily. Lighting equipment, warning stickers, and type plates must be protected from spray mist. Blasting: The components exposed under point 1 must be freed from old protective coatings, paints, and rust. For this, blasting must be done with a medium that has the following properties: non-abrasive to the workpiece; chemically inert; hardness < 100 HV. Corrosion treatment: If corrosion remains after point 2, it must be manually removed afterwards. Subsequently, these areas as well as all seams and sheet overlaps must be chemically derusted with the following properties: highly penetrating into seams and sheet overlaps; transparent; formation of a stable iron (III) compound; no formation of black-violet discolorations; paintable over and without adhesion problems in intact surface areas.
