TENDER DESCRIPTION

Preparation: To treat the frames, chassis, axles, axle components and attachments, these must be exposed by dismantling parts that are not to be treated. These include but are not limited to: swap bodies; wheels; wheel arch liners; steps; tank straps; claddings. During exposure, it may be necessary to pump out brine and store it accordingly. Lighting equipment, warning stickers and type plates must be protected from spray mist. Blasting: The components exposed under point 1 must be freed from old protective coatings, paints and rust. For this, blasting must be done with a medium that has the following properties: Non-abrasive to the workpiece; Chemically inert; Hardness < 100 HV. Corrosion treatment: If corrosion still exists after point 2, it must be manually removed subsequently. Afterwards, these areas as well as all seams and sheet metal overlaps must be chemically de-rusted with the following properties: Strongly penetrating into seams and sheet overlaps; Transparent; Formation of a stable iron (III) compound; No formation of black-violet discolorations; Overpaintable and without adhesion problems in the area of intact surfaces.
