The framework agreement begins with the award or order placement. The initial contract period is 24 months from the order placement. This agreement automatically extends by an additional 24 months if the client does not terminate it three months before the end of the initial contract period. The framework agreement will conclude at the latest after 48 months or when the maximum order volume is reached, without requiring any further notice of termination. Therefore, the total duration, including any extensions, is a maximum of 48 months.

• Networking Hardware: Backbone (Core/Distribution) components (e.g., Catalyst 96xx, 95xx), Data Center Switching (e.g., Nexus 9000, 7000, 5000, 3000, 2000), Access Switches (Layer 3 like Catalyst 94xx, 93xx; Layer 2 like Catalyst 92xx), Router Components (e.g., ASR/ISR-Series).
• Security Solutions: ISE, ASA Series, FirePOWER Services, Next Generation Firewalls (NGF), and Multi-Factor Authentication (e.g., DUO-Solution).
• Wireless LAN: Catalyst 91xx Series Access Points, Controllers, and associated licenses.
• IP-Telephony: IP-Phones, central infrastructure, software (CCM/UCCX), and licenses.

• Consulting Services: On-site consulting by Cisco-certified specialists (CCNP, CCDP, CCSP, CCIE, CCDE qualifications), including travel expenses, and remote consulting services.

Key Requirements:

• Products must be manufactured for the German market and assigned to the University of Saarland as the end customer.
• A free 24-month Cisco basic service is required for all products.
• For products with Cisco enhanced limited lifetime warranty, the contractor must pass this on and replace defective hardware free of charge throughout the contract period. Defective hardware within the 24-month warranty period must be exchanged within 6 weeks, and the same applies to hardware with an enhanced limited lifetime warranty outside this period.
• SmartAccount-pflichtige licenses are to be registered directly to the end customer's SmartAccount after delivery.
• The contractor is responsible for the free return and data-compliant disposal of old devices.
