The contract timeline is as follows:

The contract start date is upon the award of contract ("Zuschlag" or "Auftragserteilung").

The initial contract duration of the framework agreement is 24 months from the award of contract.

The contract automatically extends by an additional 24 months if it is not terminated by the University of Saarland (client) with a 3-month notice period before its initial end.

The framework agreement ends at the latest after 48 months, or if the maximum order volume is reached, without the need for termination. Therefore, the total maximum duration of the contract, including any extension, is 48 months.

The core scope of work for this tender involves a framework agreement for the delivery of Cisco infrastructure components, specifically Cisco-based network and communication solutions. The tender is not vendor-neutral due to existing technical requirements within the already implemented Cisco-oriented infrastructure at the University of Saarland.

Additional responsibilities and requirements include:

• Ensuring all delivered products are manufactured for the German market and assigned to the University of Saarland as the end-customer to guarantee smooth manufacturer service.
• Providing a free 24-month Cisco basic service and passing on Cisco enhanced limited lifetime warranty benefits, with the contractor obliged to replace defective hardware within six weeks during and beyond the 24-month warranty period if covered by the lifetime warranty.
• Registering all SmartAccount-required licenses on the end customer's SmartAccount directly after product delivery.
• Taking back and disposing of exchanged old devices free of charge and in a data protection-compliant manner, prohibiting their reuse.
• Regularly providing the valid Cisco Global Price List (CGPL/GPL) to the client via email at the end of each quarter.
