The contract begins upon award, with services scheduled to commence on December 22, 2026. The initial contract period ends on December 21, 2027. The contract allows for three extensions of one year each, provided it is not terminated six months prior to its end by either party, leading to a potential maximum end date of December 21, 2030. The planned total duration for the framework agreement is four years.

The core scope of work for this tender involves comprehensive communication services for the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), encompassing two main lots.

Lot 1: Editorial Communication Services

This lot focuses on the conception, editing, design, proofreading, translation, and typesetting of various DAAD publications and multimedia formats. Key deliverables include the editorial and project management for the DAAD Journal (online magazine with newsletter), the DAAD Alumni magazine Letter (print and digital), campaigns for specific programs like "Konrad Zuse Schools of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence," and various reports such as the DAAD Annual Report and reports from DAAD branch offices. It also covers publications for the GATE-Germany consortium (online magazine, "Hochschulmarketing" series, moving image formats, country profiles) and for DWIH and Research in Germany (RiG) (annual reports, brochures, online texts, moving image formats). The services also extend to the conceptual and digital further development of corporate communication strategies and formats, as well as the conception and production of audiovisual content like videos and podcasts. Technical services are also required, including consulting, development, CMS implementation, testing, quality assurance, web analysis, bug fixing, setting up English language versions, newsletter creation, and continuous monitoring of KPIs.

Lot 2: Corporate Design, Layout, and Design

This lot primarily deals with the maintenance and further development of the DAAD's corporate design, along with the creation of new basic layouts and the typesetting and content filling of existing layouts. This includes project management, participation in regular online meetings, and conducting in-person workshops. Conceptual services involve the design conception of various materials such as brochures, reports, flyers, one-pagers, postcards, and graphics, as well as the content-related conceptualization and development of the DAAD's corporate design, including the creation of additional sub-brands. Furthermore, it covers the layout and graphic design of a wide range of DAAD media, including print and online publications, trade fair designs, advertising materials, and PowerPoint templates, which involves developing new basic layouts and providing graphic design for both new and existing products.
