TENDER DESCRIPTION

Bayerische Staatsforsten AöR operates a highly available, centrally administered IT and communications infrastructure to support business and production processes at around 600 locations, branch offices, data centre locations and home office workplaces. The infrastructure includes local area networks (LAN), site-spanning wide area network (WAN) connections, network security solutions, WLAN infrastructures, voice communication systems, as well as central management and automation platforms. To ensure secure, stable and cost-effective operation, the network services are centrally controlled, monitored and administered. The network infrastructure connects the contracting authority’s sites with the data centres and provides the basis for access to specialist applications, communications services and digital business processes. The infrastructure is continuously expanded, modernised and adapted to new technical, organisational and security-related requirements. For the networks of Bayerische Staatsforsten, only network components (hardware, software, software services) from Cisco are used.
