1. Information on the construction measure - General description: The Friedrichswerdersche Church in Berlin-Mitte was built between 1824 and 1830 according to plans by Karl Friedrich Schinkel in the style of German Neo-Gothic. The building is listed as a protected historic monument in the State monument register of Berlin and is today used by the Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin as a public cultural site for the sculpture collection of the Nationalgalerie. Over the course of its history, the church has been restored and renovated several times. Since reopening in 2020, regular building maintenance measures are carried out to secure and preserve the listed building. As part of building maintenance, several necessary refurbishment and maintenance measures were identified. These measures are functionally and technically independent from one another, but they require overarching coordination in order to efficiently and structurally clear the existing backlog in building maintenance.
