Vitos is the largest provider for the treatment of people with mental illnesses in Hesse. The company operates psychiatric, psychosomatic and forensic-psychiatric hospitals as well as facilities for psychiatric rehabilitation. The accompanying psychiatric services, with their offering, are aimed at people suffering chronically from mental illness. In addition to its core task — the diagnosis and treatment of people with mental illnesses — Vitos also operates an orthopedic specialist clinic in Kassel and, throughout Hesse, facilities for youth and disability care. Vitos is a company of the Landeswohlfahrtsverband (LWV) Hessen. The group of companies with its headquarters in Kassel includes 17 non-profit companies. 12,200 employees generate an annual total revenue of one billion euros across 115 locations.
