TENDER DESCRIPTION

DB InfraGO AG’s “Bike & Ride-Offensive” supports municipalities in the context of the National Climate Protection Initiative (NKI) of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) in expanding bicycle parking facilities at railway stations. In the immediate vicinity of railway stations, new places for parking bicycles are to be created at numerous locations. The aim is to make it easier to switch from the car to “Bike & Ride” by aligning railway stations more closely with the needs of cyclists and offering sufficiently safe and well-structured parking spaces. To enable the planned capacities to be implemented promptly and efficiently, extensive standardisation is planned both of the processes and of the bicycle parking facilities. In this context, DB InfraGO AG—as a service for interested municipalities—conducts this Europe-wide tender in an open procedure for awarding a framework agreement.
