TENDER DESCRIPTION
On behalf of the Swedish Armed Forces, FMV has been tasked with procuring flight helmets for the Navy. The acquisition comprises approximately 6,000 flight helmets in total. FMV has chosen to procure the helmets as a framework agreement, where the first initial procurement is ordered once the framework agreement has become valid. The procurement concerns a framework agreement for an initial period of 3 years with the possibility of extension 2 times, each time by 2 years (option 1–2), i.e. a total of 7 years. The framework agreement covers flight helmets, maintenance training, user training, spare parts, ILS, and system safety. At this time, the system requirement specification (SMS) has not yet been established. This means that no decision has been made regarding whether the procurement will include one (15-minute) or two (10- and 15-minute) variants of flight helmets. The established SMS will provide direction on which variants are to be procured. The SMS will be established before the TS and VÅS are established, which takes place before the request for tender documents are finalized and published.
