TENDER DESCRIPTION
The Council has a requirement to appoint suitably qualified and experienced contractor to undertake the felling and harvesting of ash trees affected by Class 3 and 4 ash dieback disease within Burgh Heath and Banstead Heath, taking into consideration the SSSI designations, public access, bats, badgers, grassland priority habitats, underground utilities, and other constraints present. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable felling licence conditions, FISA guidance, British Standards, environmental legislation and health and safety requirements relevant to the works. The scope of services includes the provision of the following: • Additional Pre-works & Surveys and obtain any additional permissions and licences required to complete the works • Forestry services including the felling, removal, and disposal of infected ash trees with exemption where other trees are impeding access to the ash. • Arboriculture related works and services including pruning of nearby trees to prevent damage during the felling of infected ash trees • Ground preparation/Reinstatement Works of the areas to a suitable condition for natural…
