TENDER DESCRIPTION

Disposal + Recycling Zurich (ERZ) would like to build a new, interactive education centre at the Hagenholz site, focusing on the topics of circular economy and protection of water bodies. The education centre (working title) is intended to show and make tangible what ERZ as a whole provides for the City of Zurich, particularly in the areas of the environment, circular economy and protection of water bodies. The focus should be on imparting practical, hands-on knowledge to visitors and encouraging behavioural changes in the areas of waste/circular economy and protection of water bodies. The concept includes an interactive, modern education centre that can be adapted in a modular manner. One part of the education centre (ground floor) is to be designed as a city walk. It will present the diverse services of ERZ for a liveable Zurich and convey knowledge about the circular economy, rainwater management and protection of water bodies. The second part (upper floor) guides visitors through an exemplary City of Zurich apartment and shows what scope for action the visitors themselves have in order to contribute to a liveable Zurich.
