TENDER DESCRIPTION

The Studierendenwerk Tübingen-Hohenheim, institution under public law, intends to build a new dormitory for students on the so-called shifting parking lot area within the campus area of the university city of Tübingen. The reason is to create urgently needed housing for students in close proximity to university facilities. The competition site is located in the Tübingen district "Universität" between listed university institute buildings in close proximity to the campus area, but also near existing residential buildings adjacent to the northwest. The urban integration of the new building into this context thus constitutes a central planning task. Together with the Studierendenwerk, the university city of Tübingen has formulated binding framework conditions. In addition to preserving existing individual building lines, a sensitive approach to the locally characteristic tree population is also required.
