The oceanographic research campaigns carried out on board the vessels B/O Emma Bardán, B/O Miguel Oliver, B/O Vizconde de Eza are essential for proper fisheries management and knowledge of the marine environment. The DP system currently installed on the vessel Vizconde de Eza is out of service due to a fault in its electronic components. Its age and obsolescence mean that no spare parts are available on the market, which makes effective repair or maintenance impossible. This situation compromises the vessel’s operational capability in the development of the scientific campaigns in which it is necessary to carry out research stations. For all these reasons, it is necessary to enter into a supply contract for this equipment for its renewal, while maintaining compatibility with the rest of the equipment installed on board.
