TENDER DESCRIPTION

The micro investment project Restoration of Memorial Rooms of the Croatian Natural History Museum includes the restoration of the furniture and memorabilia in two rooms in the museum. The southernmost room of the western wing of the museum’s first floor, for more than a century, had been designated as the room of Dragutin Gorjanović Kramberger. The room housed Kramberger’s and the geological and palaeontological museum library, the original furniture, and other memorabilia. In the memorial room of D. Gorjanović Kramberger, today, the parquet flooring made of larger-sized slats has been preserved and restored, as well as the reconstructed ceiling and wall paintings. In the northernmost room of the western wing on the museum’s second floor, there was the office of the museum’s first director, Spiridon Brusina, with original furniture and a rich library collection from 1869. up to the earthquake in March 2020. Today, in the memorial room of S. Brusina, parquet flooring made of smaller-sized slats has been preserved and restored, along with the reconstructed ceiling and wall paintings.
